1. What This Reference Is

Long Beach Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical directory collections connected with Long Beach, Los Angeles County, and California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with the City of Long Beach, the county, a state agency, a court, a library, or another records custodian.

2. Rules for Using This Service

Use the pages and anything reached through them only for lawful purposes. You may not use the service or its linked tools to:

  • Stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm a person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit fraud, impersonation, or identity theft
  • Make a decision regulated by the FCRA, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the reference at scale
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the service

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. The pages and results returned by linked tools are not consumer reports. They may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. Links to Outside Services

Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California, court, USPS, library, university, and other external portals maintain their own terms, fees, availability, and privacy rules. Sponsored search tools are also operated by third parties. Long Beach Residents Directory is not responsible for an outside service’s content, data practices, or result.

5. No Warranties

The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a page, link, office detail, fee, coverage year, portal control, or record description is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose. Confirm material facts with the custodian.

6. Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of the reference or a linked resource, including an action taken because of a record or search result.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless the operators from claims, demands, losses, and costs, including reasonable attorney fees, that arise from your misuse of the reference or violation of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short attributed excerpt is allowed. Republishing a full page, copying the layout, or systematically collecting the content is not allowed without permission.

9. Changes to These Terms

Updated terms may be posted on this page. Continued use after a revision is posted means that the revised terms are accepted.

10. Ending or Restricting Access

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms, abuses the search tools, threatens others, or interferes with the service. Restriction may occur without prior notice.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by California law, without applying conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act is codified at Government Code sections 7920.000 and following. California’s consumer privacy framework, including the CCPA and CPRA, appears at Civil Code sections 1798.100 through 1798.199.100. Those statutes govern the public agencies and covered businesses to which they apply; they do not turn this reference into a government office or custodian.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Questions about a government record should go to the agency, court, library, or other custodian named on the relevant source page.
